John W. Giltner, M.D. grew up in Akron, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then completed medical school at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Giltner completed his internship in internal medicine and ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, where he was appointed chief resident during his final year.
In his free time, Dr. Giltner enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an enthusiastic Cleveland sports fan. He enjoys running, cooking, golfing, skiing, and traveling.
He is passionate about providing personalized specialty eye care, specializing in premium cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He also offers treatment for glaucoma, dry eye, and retinal disorders, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
